George "Nick" Kuhn, 43, made a harrowing 9-1-1 call admitting to the killing of Kristy Helmert, 36, on the 6400 block of Erdman Avenue Sunday, June 12, according to Baltimore Police.

Like many cases of domestic abuse and violence, the couple portrayed a happy and loving relationship online to the outside world. However, instead of nuptials, Kuhn allegedly pulled out an illegal firearm and shot Helmert in the head, "leaving her in the street to die", the fundraiser states.

Helmert was a mom a teenage daughter, now in the care of her great-grandmother, according to a GoFundMe campaign for her.

Because of her mother allegedly going through a "physically abusive relationship" and having "tried to escape for years unsuccessfully", there were no final or future plans for her daughter in place, says the GoFundMe.

The fundraiser asks for support to help her teenage daughter thrive after the tremendous sudden loss of her mother.

Anyone with more information on this murder is urged to contact detectives at 410-396-2100.
